Flakes, dryness, itch – you’ve got all the signs, but how can you tell if it’s seborrheic dermatitis? Find out with our guide to spotting the symptoms.
It’s often difficult to tell whether your symptoms are dandruff or the more severe form of it, seborrheic dermatitis.
That’s because they have the same root cause. However, you may need more aggressive or intensive treatment to relieve and prevent the symptoms.
Here’s what to look out for:
- More severe flakes
- White/yellowish scales – these tend to be more oily than dandruff flakes
- Red, inflamed patches on the scalp
Treat dandruff first
To rule out dandruff, first try our selenium sulphide shampoo.
It’s part of our Clinically Proven Solutions range and is a shampoo designed to treat stubborn dandruff.
It contains Selenium Sulfide and has been proven to work on all the signs of stubborn dandruff.
For flaking that does not respond to either treatment, consult with a dermatologist.
